The webstore is finally back up and running. We think we have finally cured our issues and everything is shipping in a timely manner. Look for some new items soon. AND, we are currently selling off a bunch of old stock t-shirts for $8. Limited quantities and sizes available. Please help us get rid of these things!
Love you all and see you in November.
No. We are not dead. The WNM is still alive and kicking. Sorry for the lack of updates and news.
Just a heads up that we have had some technical issues with our web store. We are working hard to get it fixed up and to do right by those impacted. We have temporarily closed the store until we can figure it out. Our sincere apologies.
We are finally going to dust off the WNM and play some shows this Fall. Stay tuned to the SHOWS link for info. The whole thing will be anchored by an appearance at Chad Dukes Veterans Day Jamboree in Leesburg Virginia. This will be a sold out affair so please get your tickets soon !
Meanwhile, we hope everyone is checking out Andy and Mason and their project Leon III. They released an album last year and have another in the works along with quite a few tour dates. Please check them out and follow them on instagram or twitter. They are playing some WNM songs on the road so go see a show if you can.
We have some things in the works so stay tuned and thanks for keeping the faith.
We know many of you are clamoring for something from the WNM. We have a few things in the works for sure. We appreciate all your emails, texts and social media urgings.
In the meantime, we want to make sure you are aware of Andy and Mason's project called Leon III and check it out. Leon III has a full length album coming out on Cornelius Chapel Records on May 11, 2018. The first single and it's companion video are out now and the album is available for preorder on vinyl, cd and digital. Click below or go to Leon III"s website to explore the possibilities....
The long-promised live vinyl album Don't Just Stand There is now available for preorder on the WarHen Records website. The vinyl features 10 songs from our show at The Southern Music Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia on April 2, 2016.
The release is vinyl only but each order comes with a digital download code so you get it two ways. This is a very limited edition so we highly recommend preordering ASAP. You can stream two of the songs from the record, Sugar Bowl and Heaven's High. and also get special bundles including the limited edition hand screened poster from the show featuring the album art by Steve Ingham or or last album I Never Thought It Would Go This Far on 2xLP on the WarHen site right nowl.
Go to WarHen now!
WE just announced a few dates in January at some of our favorite spots. Go to the SHOWS link to get ticket and time info. Spread the word on these:
January 11, 2017 - Smith's Olde Bar, Atlanta, Georgia
January 12, 2017 - The Evening Muse, Charlotte, North Carolina
January 13, 2017 - The Broadberry, Richmond, Virginia (w/ Sarah White & The Pearls)
January 14, 2017 - Jammin' Java, Vienna, Virginia (presented by Big O and Dukes)
Also, in case you missed it, make sure to take a listen the latest from our Entierro song series. This one is "Down from Dover" - a tune penned by Dolly Parton. Our version is intended as a tribute to Lee Hazlewood whose duet version of the song with Nancy Sinatra earned many spins the mule van. Our buddy Sarah White joins on vocals to play Nancy (or Dolly).
There are quite a few other things going on in the WNM family. Stay tuned for news on a side project release from Andy & Mason which is nearing completion. Much more to come...
See everyone soon.
We decided to break format and release the next song in our Entierro series – our version of “Till Your Well Runs Dry” by Peter Tosh. The tune is now available at Bandcamp for $1 along with the other five Entierro releases. Peter Tosh was shot and killed during a home invasion on September 11, 1987. Since September 11th doesn’t feel like a very good time to release a song, we thought we would go ahead and get this one out.
We have always felt like “Till Your Well Runs Dry” was a country reggae song and it has long been on the list of songs we wanted to do for Entierro. Peter Tosh was an essential member of the Wailers with his distinctive harmony vocals and guitar work. Although overshadowed by Bob Marley, Tosh also played a major role in the international popularity of reggae. Tosh was volatile and a bit of an oddball – he was accomplished unicycle rider and is famous for playing a guitar shaped like an M16.
We are still working on the mixing of the live record we recorded for WarHen Records back on April 2, 2016 at The Southern in Charlottesville, VA. We hope to have some news on that release very soon.
Although it might seem quiet, there are quite a few other things going on in the background for WNM - including a side project. Stay tuned for news on all of this.
Take care out there.
Happy New Year everybody. We're a little slow out of the gate this year on the live show front because we have a number of projects going on BUT we are very excited about 2 shows coming up in April with special guest Caleb Caudle. We'll be back at Jammin Java in Vienna VA on April 1. The 2 shows we did there last year were both sold out and among the best we can remember. Get your tickets for round 3 HERE.
We will also record a live vinyl album for our friends at WarHen Records on Saturday 4/2 in the friendly confines of The Southern in Charlottesville, VA. We will have some tricks up our sleeve for this show and some very limited edition merch available. It's sure to be a wild night. Advance tix go on sale at 9:30AM ET on Friday January 29 HERE. Get tix, yell loud and hear your voice on the wax.
